Application of N and S each @ 30 kg ha-1 resulted in significantly superior growth attributes and dry matter production (DMP) per plant. Varying levels of N and S did not affect the yield and economics of the crop. The effect of lower levels of N and S (10 and 20 kg ha-1) were comparable in quality parameters. The best treatment of experiment-Ⅰ, viz., N and S each @ 10 kg ha-1 was selected for experiment-II.The second experiment was laid out in FRBD with 9 treatment combinations of 2 factors, viz., Nutrient Schedule (S) and Foliar Nutrition (F) at 10 and 30 DAS, with 3 treatments each, viz., S1: POP as basal (10 kg N and 20 kg S), S2: N and S each @ 10 kg ha-1 in 2 equal splits (basal and 20 DAS), S3: Control (POP without N and S), F1: Foliar Application (FA) of urea (1%)+SOP (1%) F2: FA of nano urea (3 ml 1-1) + nano S (1 ml 1-1), F3: Control (without FA). The main and interaction effects of the treatments S2 and F2 were significant in recording the highest growth attributes, DMP, chlorophyll content index, yield attributes, yield, quality parameters, N and S uptake and economics of the crop.Application of N and S each @ 10 kg ha-1 2 equal splits (basal and 20 DAS) along with foliar spray of nano urea (3 ml 1-1) and nano S (1 ml 1-1) at 10 and 30 DAS was found to be the best NS schedule for groundnut.
