Scientific libraries and their effective use is essential for the proper development of individuals and society, Dr. E. J. James, Pro Vice Chancellor, Karunya University, Coimbatore and Advisor to UN, Govt. of India, and various Universities opined while inaugurating the National Seminar on “Role of Libraries in Social Empowerment” and distributing Academic Library Association (ALA) Librarian Awards in Kerala Agricultural University Central Library, here at Vellanikkara, Thrissur. By acquiring rright knowledge and wisdom only the individuals, politics and administration will be purified, he added.
He has also opened the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) Corner (Knowledge Centre) in Thrissur at KAU Central Library.
