dc.description.abstract A path analysis and selection index study on 26 bunch varieties of groundnut was made. Path analysis showed that number of mature pods, 100 pod weight and 100 kernel weight were the important factors contributing to pod yield. Discriminant function using pod yield, number of mature pods, 100 pod weight, 100 kernel weight, number of seeds per pod and dry weight of haulm showed the highest relative efficiency. en_US
