dc.description	ലോക പുസ്തകവും പകർപ്പവകാശ ദിനവും ഏപ്രിൽ 23-നു , വിവിധ പരിപാടികളോടെ K.A.U യിൽ ആചരിച്ചു. കെ.പി. ഡോ. എ.ടി അദ്ധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ച ചടങ്ങിൽ എഴുത്തുകാരനും കവിയുമായ സത്യൻ പരിപാടികൾ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. ഫ്രാൻസിസ്, യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ലൈബ്രേറിയൻ, K.A.U. സാംസ്കാരിക, സാഹിത്യ ക്ലബ്ബായ “സിംഫണി” പ്രസിഡന്റ് അനൂപ് പ്രധാന കുറിപ്പ് പ്രസംഗിച്ചു. എം.എ സുധീഷ് കുമാറിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ എല്ലാവരും വായനാ ദിന സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്തു. ഡോ.വി.എസ്. സ്വപ്‌ന, ട്രഷറർ, അക്കാദമിക് ലൈബ്രറി അസോസിയേഷൻ, വി.പി. അജിതകുമാരി, കുമാരി, ദയാ ദിലീപ്, അദ്വൈദ് അനികുമാർ സംസാരിച്ചു. കുമാരി: നമിത ഷിബുവും കുമാരി: ദ്രസ്യ കവിതകൾ പാരായണം ചെയ്തു. ചർച്ചകൾ, പുസ്തക പ്രദർശനം തുടങ്ങിയവയും നടന്നു. യോഗത്തിൽ ഡോ. വി.എസ്. “ലൈബ്രറി വെബ് ടെക്നോളജി” വിഷയത്തിൽ പിഎച്ച്ഡി നേടിയ K.A.Uയിലെ ഹോർട്ടികൾച്ചർ കോളജിലെ ലൈബ്രേറിയൻ സ്വപാന, സ്കൂളുകളിൽ നിന്നും കോളേജുകളിൽ നിന്നുമുള്ള വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും അധ്യാപകരും കർഷകരും പൊതുജനങ്ങളും പങ്കെടുത്തു. യുനെസ്കോ തീരുമാനിച്ചതുപോലെ, 1995 മുതൽ വില്യം ഷേക്സ്പിയർ, സെർവാന്റസ്, ഇങ്ക ഗാർസിലാസോ ഡി ലാ വേഗ എന്നിവരുടെ മരണ വാർഷികത്തോടും മറ്റ് നിരവധി പ്രമുഖ എഴുത്തുകാരുടെ ജനനത്തോ മരണത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് ഈ ദിനം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു.
dc.description.abstract	World Book and Copyright Day Observed in Kerala Agricultural University The World Book and Copyright Day, 23 April, observed in KAU with various programmes. K.P. Sathian, Writer and poet inaugurated the programmes in a function presided by Dr. A.T. Francis, University Librarian, KAU. Dr. E.V. Anoop, President, “Symphony”, the cultural and literary club of KAU delivered Key Note address. Everybody took the Reading Day Oath led by M.A. Sudheesh Kumar. Dr. V.S. Swapna, Treasurer, Academic Library Association, V.P. Ajithakumari, Kum: Daya Dileep and Master: Adwaid Anikumar spoke. Kum: Namitha Shibu and Kum: Drisya recited poems. Discussions, book exhibition etc. were also held. The meeting honoured Dr. V.S. Swpana, Librarian in the College of Horticulture of KAU, who have been awarded PhD in the subject “Library Web Technology” Students and teachers from schools and colleges, farmers and public participated. As decided by UNESCO, the day is being celebrated from 1995 onwards in connection with the death anniversary of William Shakespeare, Cervantes and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, as well as that of the birth or death of several other prominent authors.	en_US
